Article on Genocide Libel in the Wall Street Journal
Rwanda, Israel, and the Inversion of 'Genocide'
Several weeks ago, I published an article in The Wall Street Journal on the antizionist genocide libel. The piece is one of the few in the mainstream press to directly examine the intellectual sources of the accusation and to place it within the context of comparative genocide studies:
“International courts have rarely pursued incitement cases, yet countless instances of genocide inversion against Israel have flooded the public sphere since Oct. 7. Whether directed against the Tutsis in Rwanda or against Israelis—now cast as genocidal colonizers by a cohort of anti-Zionist academics and nonprofit advocacy groups—portraying a people as foreign usurpers and inherent perpetrators isn’t neutral. It is a well-recognized prelude to violence.”
